1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Eurasian Information Agency Global Media Group JSC ("Company", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, transfers and protects personal data when you visit or use the eia.media website ("Site"). The Company acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the Site.

By using the Site, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of it, please do not use the Site.

The Company processes personal data in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data" of the Russian Federation and other applicable provisions of Russian law.

2.1 Information you provide directly. When you interact with the Site — for example, by subscribing to our newsletter, filling out a contact form, or reaching out to the newsroom — we may collect: contact information (name, email address); account credentials, if you register on the Site; the content of your message; and any other information you voluntarily choose to provide.

2.2 Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically using cookies and similar technologies, including: device and browser information; your IP address and the approximate location derived from it; pages visited, time on page, and referral source.

2.3 Information from third parties. We may receive limited traffic statistics from analytics services connected to the Site (e.g. Yandex.Metrica, Google Analytics).

2.4 We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data through the Site (health data, biometrics, religious or political beliefs), and we do not collect personal data from children under 14, as described further in Section 9.

3. How we use personal data

We process personal data for the following purposes:

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including any legal or administrative requirements. Newsletter subscription data is retained until consent is withdrawn; analytics data is retained according to the standard retention settings of the analytics services we use. Once personal data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach that creates a risk to your rights, we will notify the competent authority (Roskomnadzor) and affected individuals as required by law.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is not intended for use by children under 14. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from children under 14 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe your child has provided personal data through the Site without your consent, please contact us at ceo@eia.media — we will promptly delete such data.

11. Automated decision-making

The Site does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning users.

12. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party resources, including social media and video-hosting platforms. This Policy does not apply to third-party sites — we recommend reviewing their own privacy policies.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data-processing practices or in applicable law. We will notify you of material changes via the Site. We recommend checking back periodically for the current version of this Policy.

14. Language and precedence of versions

This Policy is drafted in Russian and translated into the Site's other languages for readers' convenience. In the event of any discrepancy between language versions, the Russian version shall prevail.
