Voronezh court sent into custody three defendants in the case of Shawarma

The left-bank district court of Voronezh considered the petitions of the investigation on the measure of restraint for three people suspected of trafficking in unmarked goods as part of an organized group.

On 7 and 8 October, the court, having examined the case file, granted the investigator’s request and detained the three suspects for two months. The reason was that the defendants do not have registration or permanent residence in Russia, which means that they can hide from the investigation or interfere with the investigation.
