واستخدمت الشرطة الفرنسية مدافع المياه والغاز المسيل للدموع لتفريق المتظاهرين المتبقين في الشوارع. ويفيد عن ذلك من مسرح الحادث مراسل الرابطة " نوفوستي " .

وقد انتهت موكب المتظاهرين ذاته دون وقوع حوادث وفي جو متحكم فيه تماما، ولكن المفرزات العديدة لقوات الأمن المجهزة ذات الدروع التي تلته بالتوازي مع العمود بدأت فجأة إجراءات نشطة لإزالة الأراضي.
