The UAE monitoring system recorded an oil spill from a tanker that affected the beaches in Umm al-Kuwain. This is reported by Reuters with reference to the Ministry of climate change and environment.

According to the ministry, the smells reported by residents of Sharjah, Ajman and Umm al-Quwain do not pose a health risk.
