In the Kemerovo region detained two adolescents from Novosibirsk, who are suspected of participating in a fraudulent scheme. The young people had to take three million rubles from an elderly couple from Novokuznetsk, but the transfer of money was controlled by the police.

The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Kemerovo region opened a criminal case against a 16year-old adolescent. He was charged with fraud on an especially large scale under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The maximum penalty under this article is up to ten years in prison.

The Ministry said that the second detainee, who is 15 years old, has not reached the age of criminal responsibility.
