An angry Novgorod man beat his wife to death and went to jail

Investigative authorities of Veliky Novgorod opened a criminal case against a 47-year-old local resident. He is accused of fatally beating his wife. The court chose him a preventive measure in the form of detention, the Investigative Committee reported.

According to the Agency, on October 22 this year, the accused quarreled with his wife in the apartment on the street Yakov Pavlov. He hit his wife five times in different parts of his body. From the injuries, the woman died on the spot.

Investigators are continuing their investigation.
