In Barnaul scammers tried to rob a pensioner under the pretext of medical examination
In Barnaul, a 76-year-old local resident almost gave all her savings to phone scammers. Attackers under the pretext of medical examinations tried to lure from the pensioner about 200 thousand rubles.

It all started with the fact that the victim’s phone received a call from an unknown number. The female voice on the other end of the line introduced herself as a clinician. The caller told the pensioner that she should undergo a medical examination, for this she asked to call SNILS. The trusting citizen without any doubt dictated to this interlocutor. After that, the call was dropped.
After a while, a “law enforcement officer” contacted the victim. The caller told the pensioner that her accounts allegedly transfer money to foreign countries. The story didn't end there. A false employee of the military prosecutor’s office got in touch with the frightened old woman, who explained that it was necessary to declare the available cash. An excited woman came to her granddaughter and told her what had happened. A relative explained to her grandmother that they were scammers.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud). Police are now identifying the attackers.
