In Zelenograd, the identity of the woman who left a newborn child on the street was established.
According to police, the mother of the boy is a 27-year-old woman. She explained that after discharge from the maternity ward, she left a 10-day-old baby near a residential building, fearing that her cohabitant would abandon her, the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office reports.
The baby was found by passers-by near one of the houses. The boy was dressed only in a light jumpsuit, which raised eyewitnesses' concerns, who reported to law enforcement.
Police officers and an ambulance crew were immediately called to the scene. Doctors examined the child, after which the baby was transferred to a specialized institution. The course of further procedural actions is under the control of the prosecutor's office.
