Presidents of Belarus and Mongolia Alexander Lukashenko and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh began bilateral talks with a meeting in an informal atmosphere on October 25, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports with reference to the press service of the Head of State.
The leaders warmly welcomed each other. Alexander Lukashenko noted that during the official talks on October 26, the parties will discuss in detail the present and future of relations between the two countries.
- But in short, I would suggest that we start with two or three important projects for us and Mongolia and start our cooperation, so that we start a very intensive normal cooperation.
He stressed that the countries have a lot in common, including a common great past.
- We fought together against the invaders. Khalkhin-Gol, Great Patriotic War. This is all ours, Alexander Lukashenko said. Our children will not understand us if our generations do not do something great like the previous generation. Yes, we do. The volume of trade we have today is ridiculous. Therefore, perhaps the essence of our talks will be that we must lay a solid foundation for Belarusian-Mongolian friendship and relations. We will try to be reliable friends for you.
