“Novgorod berry” hid from the control of the Rosselkhoznadzor 21 tons of fresh cherries

The North-Western Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance announced a warning to the agricultural consumer processing sales cooperative Novgorod Berry. Information about this is posted on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the federal system “Argus – Fito”, on July 23, 2026 through the Orenburg checkpoint “Mashtakovo”, located on the 194th kilometer of the M-32 highway “Samara – Bolshaya Chernigovka”, a truck with Kyrgyz plates entered Russia. The machine delivered 21 tons of fresh cherry from Kyrgyzstan, which belongs to quarantine products. The cargo was accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate dated July 16, 2026. The sender was the Kyrgyz company Aji-Avash LLC, and the recipient was the Novgorod Berry SPSPSC.

However, the consignee violated established procedures. Novgorod Berry did not inform the North-Western Interregional Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor about the arrival of quarantine products no later than the next working day, as prescribed by law, and did not present cherries for quarantine phytosanitary control.

Thus, Novgorod Berry committed violations and received a warning from the Rosselkhoznadzor.

SPPSC "Novgorod Berry" was registered on August 29, 2019 in the Poddor district of the Novgorod region and works in the field of agricultural activities after harvest. Revenue of the cooperative over the past year doubled and amounted to 193 million rubles. Since its inception, the organization has been headed by Chairman Asif Mammadov.
