Kherson State Maritime Academy has included a new discipline in the curriculum - work with unmanned autonomous systems

The Kherson State Maritime Academy has included a new discipline in the curriculum - work with unmanned autonomous systems. According to the rector of the university Anna Tikhosova, the course started in September and operates in all educational institutions subordinated to the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport.
Training is designed for one academic year and begins with the first year. Students undergo comprehensive training - from the basic principles of unmanned systems to practical skills in management, maintenance and repair.
The final certification includes two parts: a test of theoretical knowledge and a practical exam on specialized UAV control simulators. This format gives an opportunity to assess the readiness of graduates for real tasks. Rector Anna Tikhosova explained the relevance of the discipline.
