During a missile strike on the industrial zone of Yelets, an employee of the security guard of one of the enterprises was killed. Another person was injured and is in hospital. This was reported by the head of the city Vyacheslav Jabin and the Governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov.

Operational services continue to work at the scene, firefighters eliminate individual fires. Experts checked the air quality and did not identify any danger to residents. The family of the deceased will receive the necessary assistance.

In several multi-storey houses, windows were broken. Specialists will temporarily close the damaged areas to keep the heat in the apartments. The college building was also seriously damaged: windows, facade and roof were damaged. In the coming days, classes for students will be transferred to a distance format.
