In Penza earned the exposition “Code of Belinsky”

In Penza, the exposition “The Belinsky Code” was launched. The Pushkin Museum from Moscow and the Penza Association of Literary and Memorial Museums have joined forces to mark the 215th anniversary of the birth of the famous critic.
Visitors walk through four halls, each telling of different stages of their lives. From childhood and study in Moscow to work in magazines and recent years. Among the most valuable exhibits are Belinsky’s personal cane with the figure of Cardinal Richelieu, a death mask and a unique series of drawings by Boris Lebedev, which is called the only illustrated biography of the critic.
The organizers decided to look at the figure of the “furious Vissarion” from a new angle. It seems that he worked in the spirit of the XXI century: explaining to the public what and how to read. Therefore, the old documents coexist with modern technologies. The quotes of the critic are designed as posts in social networks, and with the help of artificial intelligence, experts even created his video blog. The main purpose of this experiment is to show Belinsky not as a monument, but as a living and enthusiastic person.
