In the Shim district found a landfill with scattered around garbage

The North-Western Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Natural Resources Management announced a warning to the administration of the Shim municipal district for dumping solid household waste. This information is posted on the website of the State Prosecutor’s Office.

The North-Western Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor conducted a field survey in the village of Vysovo of the Shim municipal district.

Experts found that on a plot of land, the ownership of which is not delimited, arranged a landfill. In a small depression on an area of about 30 square meters are solid household waste - plastic bottles, bags and so on. Garbage is not collected in one place: within a radius of 5-7 meters around the landfill, it is scattered throughout the territory. The coordinates of the problem points were fixed.

According to the law, even if the ownership of such lands is not registered, the local administration is entitled to dispose of them - in this case, the administration of the Shim municipal district. At the same time, anyone responsible for the site is obliged to prevent its contamination and damage.

Since a landfill appeared on this territory, the actions of the administration saw signs of violation of the requirements of the Land Code of the Russian Federation. In this regard, Rosprirodnadzor announced a warning and demanded to take measures to prevent further violation of the law.

Since January 2026, the administration of the Shimsky municipal district is headed by Olga Arkhipkova.
