Matkapital for the first child in 2027 will grow to 778.5 thousand rubles

The size of the maternity capital for the first child in 2027 will be 778.5 thousand rubles, said the Minister of labor and social protection of Russia Anton Kotyakov, according to the message of the Ministry of labor, received in RBC.

As a result, the payment for the first child will increase by 49.6 thousand rubles. For families in which the second child was born or was adopted starting from 2020, as well as at the birth of the third or subsequent children (if the right to maternity capital did not previously arise), the payment in 2027 will be 1,028,700 rubles. An increase in comparison with the current year - by 65.5 thousand rubles.

So, from February 1, 2027, it is planned to increase the size of the maternity capital in terms of actual inflation. It is projected that it will be 6.8%, Kotyakov said.

In 2026, the size of the maternity capital for the first child is 728,921.9 rubles, for the second (provided that the right to payment did not previously arise) – 963,243.17 rubles. Indexation is carried out annually from February 1, according to the actual inflation rate for the previous year.

Also in 2027, a one-time allowance at the birth of a child will increase to 30.4 thousand rubles. The maximum amount of maternity benefits will exceed 1.1 million rubles.

In July, the chairman of the party “Fair Russia” Sergey Mironov proposed to increase the maternity capital and introduce measures to repay the mortgage at the birth of children to increase the birth rate. According to him, the lack of income and lack of housing Russian families consider the main obstacles to have children.

A month earlier, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov at the “Primakov readings” said that the issue of demography is painful for Russia.
