Belarus is a big family on a country scale: Petkevich at Dazhynki in Korelichi

Today, on September 26, farmers from all over Grodno gathered in the town of Korelichi. Regional "Dazhynki-2026" became an occasion to meet after a busy agricultural season, sum up its results and award the industry's leading experts.

- Our country is extraordinary! Belarus is not just a state with its holidays, traditions, favorite dishes, it is a family on a national scale. It's a family that has neighbors, good ones who will share the latest, and those who won't even have water. And one of the traditions of our large family, our state, is the festival initiated by the Head of State, Dazhynki. This is a holiday that gives an opportunity to say thank you to all the people who ensure our food security. To worship for the fact that they are devoted throughout their lives to their native land, for the fact that they did not succumb to fashion and did not go to the city, but work in a small homeland.

- Living in big cities, people seem to always have at hand a tablecloth. Many do not understand where this or that product comes from, how hard it is to achieve this abundance on the shelves of stores, whether there was a harvest or not. These problems have been solved for us.

The Deputy Prime Minister also thanked the residents of Grodno region for their significant contribution to the common loaf and presented well-deserved awards to the best farmers.
