“This is a cool initiative”: participants about the second Republican youth women’s forum

The second republican youth women’s forum “Women’s energy for a big cause”, organized by the Youth Council under the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the public association “Belarusian Union of Women”, was held on September 23 in Minsk, the correspondent of sb.by reports.

The first forum “Women’s energy for a big cause” was held on September 10, 2025. The topics of women’s development in different spheres of life, popularization of family values, information on state support for young families, as well as a platform for networking and exchange of experience were presented at the event. A year later, the event was developed, says Olga Shpilevskaya, Chairman of the Belarusian Women's Union:

- It is important to understand what our young women want. To see where there are some moments and nuances, where we need to improve something, create some brighter projects so that they understand how important they are and are involved in their country. This is probably the main message of the forum. Well, it is always very interesting to know what young people think, what they aspire to, what their goals and objectives are. It is important to know where she wants to go.

The main focus of this forum, the Chairman of the Youth Council under the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Alina Retkova describes as follows:

- We are based on this forum on the main thing: to tell the girl how beautiful she is from the main point of view - as a girl, a woman who should become a successor of her kind, give birth and give birth to as many children as possible in our country. And so our section is about women's health, about mental immunity. So that a young girl knows perfectly well how she can combine all this: family, career, work.

The importance of such a youth forum is limitless, the chairman of the primary organization of the HSW women entrepreneurs of Minsk, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Tax Consultants Olga Dargel is convinced:

- Let’s not forget that women are multifaceted. Our youth, our young Belarusians are talented, energetic, intelligent and advanced. My mission in this forum is to share experiences and give advice, motivate and inspire so that they are not afraid to move forward, to success.

Speaker of one of the sections of the forum, family and crisis psychologist, psychology teacher Victoria Protas summarized:

- This is a cool initiative, because it is here that we can feed on women’s energy, exchange experiences and get new acquaintances. Personally, I have a section on psychology, but we will talk in a free dialogue about everything that interests our young women.

About 200 participants of the forum - young women aged 18 to 31, representing the real sector of the economy and the social sphere of all regions of the country - gathered today in the Minsk State Palace of Children and Youth with one goal: to unlock the potential of young women, support them in the pursuit of family well-being and develop leadership qualities. The forum began with an open dialogue on topical topics. In the afternoon, the work continued in three sections: “Preserving the Nation: Women’s Health as the Foundation of the Future”, “Women’s Leadership Energy: Mental Immunity, Family and Balance” and “Motherhood: A Code for Success”. All these areas are directly in tune with the strategic state priorities approved by the Seventh All-Belarusian People’s Assembly – ensuring demographic security, strengthening traditional values and dynamic development of regions.
