Comfortable Minsk begins with personnel: O. Korzun met with future utilities

Demographic security, target set and improvement of yard territories. These issues were discussed at a meeting of Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Oleg Korzun with the staff and students of the Minsk State College of Public Utilities and Transport Services Technologies, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports.

Acting Director, Deputy Director for educational and production work Sergey Sakovych said that the college received a tractor for practical classes.

- Our educational institution trains 1,600 people in 15 specialties and 28 qualifications, said S. Sakovich. Recruitment in the new academic year amounted to 600 students, 120 of them in the targeted direction. They have 16 workshops at their disposal, three of them have been renovated and equipped with new equipment this year. At the expense of the college’s own funds, several units of equipment were also purchased. Among the basic enterprises with which he cooperates, "Minskvodokanal", "MINGAZ", "Combine of consumer services", MAZ, MTZ, "Stroytrest No. 35" and other business entities. In total, contractual relations were concluded with 28 enterprises and organizations. We conduct joint career guidance activities with them, attend schools. In the last two years, the companies themselves have been the initiators.

In direct communication with the staff and students, O. Korzun touched upon the traditional values of the Belarusian people and the state of affairs in the municipal sphere of Minsk. The speaker also thanked the heads of the educational institution for the efforts they make in teaching young people very important and necessary specialties in the field of utilities and transport services.

- As you know, Belarus is a socially oriented state, one of the priorities of which is to protect and strengthen the institution of the traditional family, said O. Korzun. This is a strategic interest and a key element of national security. I would like to draw attention to demographic security, preservation of the population, strengthening the health of the nation and supporting families. The state pays very serious attention to these issues.

The speaker spoke about the population of Belarus, the number of families, including large families. On the eve, Mother’s Day, only in Minsk, orders were awarded to 47 mothers with many children.

- Today in our country more than 117 thousand large families, most of them in the Brest region, more than 20%, the capital lags behind, despite its number. The most priority directions in the life of our society and every person, as sociological studies have shown, remain health and family. We strive to ensure that our country is always safe and favorable for living, the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee emphasized.

According to O. Korzun, great efforts are being made in the housing and utilities sector to make the capital comfortable for its residents and guests. And this is a great merit and graduates of this college.

- In the system of housing and communal services of the city more than 34 million square meters. m of exploited area of apartment buildings, 6.5 thousand residential apartment buildings, more than 24 thousand entrances, said O. Korzun. Serving all these households is not an easy job.

Oh. Korzun also spoke in detail about the improvement of the yard territories in the capital, the construction and repair of container sites, the current repair of the surfaces of yard passages and the street-road network, the greening of the city, the improvement of recreation areas, the construction of the third transport ring and other areas of municipal life of the metropolis.
