In 2025, the Belarusian society gave the President a significant credit of public trust, voting for Alexander Lukashenko in the elections. And today there is every reason to say that the Belarusians did not make a mistake in the main thing: their goals fully coincide with those that the national leader himself is steadily implementing. The absolute majority of citizens support the course of the Head of State aimed at ensuring peace, stable, sovereign development of Belarus, as well as preserving the model of a socially oriented country.

In July-August 2026, the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus commissioned by BISI conducted a comprehensive republican sociological study that covered 2,045 respondents from all regions of the country. The first part of its results related to the socio-economic development of the country was presented in Minsk on September 10. On September 16, the second part on socio-political topics was presented. The results leave no doubt: the overwhelming majority of Belarusians – 87.6 percent – expressed confidence in the President of Belarus.

The results of the sociological research conducted in the country clearly reflect the calm and confident attitude of the Belarusian society, member of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic for Education, Science, Culture and Social Development Viktor Kondratovich is convinced:
- It is obvious that the high level of citizens’ trust in the President and the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly is directly related to a deep sense of stability and security. I am impressed that the majority of respondents are sincerely satisfied with the quality of life in their cities and villages. Our citizens’ values are still dominated by fundamentals: peace, health, family and pride in their country.
Respondents were also asked how they assess the activities of the Belarusian leader in a number of areas of development of Belarus. On the issue of ensuring security in the country, 90 percent of respondents said that they assess the activities of the Head of State as successful. Deputy Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Human Rights, National Relations and the Media, Irina Dovgalo, sees a simple explanation:

91.1 percent of Belarusians feel safe. That is why 87.6 percent trust their president, because peace and security in Belarus are primarily associated with their national leader. Our President has clear actions and understanding that security is a process, not a cause for complacency. All the main documents of the country - the Basic Law (which specifically states that Belarus "excludes military aggression from its territory against other states"), adopted by the All-Belarusian People's Assembly Military Doctrine and the Concept of National Security - are exclusively defensive in nature.
All this testifies to the main thing - we are doing everything to preserve peace, the parliamentarian concluded, drawing attention to:
Alexander Grigorievich takes a similar position in the international arena, in all international organizations – in the UN, SCO, BRICS and all others. Therefore, it is not in vain that people give such confidence to their leader. It is our President who is a true architect of peace – a man who really acts, strengthening stability in the country and striving to create conditions for ending military conflicts and establishing long-term peace. The head of state appreciates the trust placed in him by the people, and always notes that he has no right to betray him.

to create an attractive image for colleagues from other countries, completely missing the internal affairs and interests of their own people. Therefore, a high level of trust in the President is not just a sociological indicator, member of the Permanent Commission of the Council of the Republic on Economy, Budget and Finance Ilya Ikan is convinced:
- This is a solid foundation for our state stability and security. Belarusians see the results of the creative course and value peace on their land. The fact that the vast majority of residents feel themselves to be true citizens of Belarus confirms the maturity of our society. We are united by common values, respect for history and pride in a sovereign country. Today Belarus is a country of happy people. We have the main thing: a peaceful sky, social security, the opportunity to live, work and raise children.

In turn, a member of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on International Affairs Alexander Shpakovsky drew the attention of BelTA to the minimum crime rate in the country for three decades of its sovereign development, recorded last year. According to the deputy, this result is a consequence of the President’s purposeful policy to maintain the prestige of law enforcement agencies and ensure an appropriate level of security in the state. We are talking about public security, which is really at a very high level in Belarus. The parliamentarian recalled how in one of his interviews the Head of State described his vision of the national idea of Belarusians so that a young mother with a stroller could go out in the evening and nothing threatened her.
- In fact, we have achieved this result. Belarus is indeed a very safe country, which is confirmed by the impressions of our foreign guests, hundreds of thousands of whom arrive in Belarus thanks to the visa-free regime, the impressions of our allies from Russia.
Alexander Shpakovsky emphasizes:
- We cannot say that we are developing in favorable conditions. Quite the opposite. But in these conditions, the President managed to ensure peace and stability in society. And it's expensive. The preservation of peace, conflict-free relations with neighbors, the development of a stable functioning society with an interfaith, interclass world is a high achievement that is characteristic of modern Belarus. This is our competitive advantage and a consequence of the political will of the Belarusian people, the executor of which was and is the President. Therefore, the people once again expressed confidence in the national leader.
