A foreign object in the Burger King’s Grill Chiken burger was discovered by a Minsk woman and suggested that it was a cockroach’s foot. The order was made at the catering point in the shopping center Minsk City Mall. According to the girl, she showed the find to the administrator, she was offered to prepare a new burger. After the refusal, representatives of the institution apologized and promised to return the money.

The circumstances of the incident were studied by specialists of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Oktyabrsky District:

- At the time of assessment, on September 19, no insects were detected in the production facilities, the sanitary condition of the catering facility is satisfactory. Also a day earlier, the catering facility was examined by representatives of the Center for Preventive Disinfection and found no traces of rodents and insects. There were also traps for control.

Experts noted that Minsk City Mall has concluded contracts for disinsection and deratization with specialized enterprises. The service is provided once a month on Wednesdays, simultaneously in all food court facilities, at night. Moreover, tenants carrying out activities for the circulation of food products additionally carry out disinsection and deratization with periodicity once a month.
