MART conducted monitoring of more than 2.8 thousand retail facilities – what violations found

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade summed up the results of control activities for nine months of 2026. Details sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry.

In March, they said:

- For nine months of 2026, MART conducted 24 inspections, covered more than 240 facilities, the activities of eight of them were suspended for violations of the law. More than 2.8 thousand objects were monitored, 1,795 recommendations were issued to eliminate violations, 553 orders were sent to ban the sale of products with expired expiration dates. 490 persons were brought to administrative responsibility. The amount of fines exceeded 125 thousand rubles.

In all spheres of control of the Ministry, 1302 guilty persons were brought to justice, the total amount of penalties exceeded 1 million rubles. In addition, the conduct of public procurement procedures in violation of the law in the amount of more than 132.7 million rubles was prevented.

In March, there were several examples of violations. Thus, during the inspection of the Mogilev district, violations were established in 40 of the 41 inspected facilities. The most widespread were non-compliance with the mandatory assortment and errors in the design of price tags (in 29 facilities), as well as violations of sanitary requirements and storage conditions (in 21 facilities).

In addition, every second store revealed the sale of expired goods or goods without indicating the expiration date. Almost 100 names for more than 1.6 thousand rubles were withdrawn from sale. The facts of violation of the legislation on pricing were also revealed and it was established that as a result of shipment of goods to budgetary organizations at inflated prices, the regional and local budgets suffered damage in the amount of more than 1.2 thousand rubles. As a result of the inspection, three officials were brought to justice, 40 persons were warned. The total amount of penalties against raypo amounted to about 2 thousand rubles.

During an unscheduled inspection of the Gomel Chemel Chemistry “Emka knitwear”, violations of legislation in the field of trade, consumer protection, pricing, as well as non-compliance with the requirements of technical regulations of the Customs Union were established. In particular, the company sold to the population, and also supplied public procurement products such as t-shirts, women's shirts and others, without the necessary certificates of conformity. The volume of deliveries to state institutions exceeded 250 thousand rubles. As a result, the legal entity was brought to justice by the court - the fine amounted to more than 12 thousand rubles.

MART has sent letters to more than 50 state institutions and local authorities on the need to control the compliance of supplied products with the requirements of the legislation in the field of quality and safety.

In addition, control measures were held in the IP store in Brest. About 20 cartridges with liquid for electronic smoking systems in the amount of more than 200 rubles were detected, the shelf life of which expired from 10 months to one and a half years ago.
