Prayer behind bars: in Ulyanovsk prison prisoners confessed and communed

In one of the correctional institutions of the Ulyanovsk region for prisoners held a Divine Liturgy dedicated to the memory of the Monk Confessor Gabriel of Melekes. وتمكّن المدانين من الاعتراف، والتواصل والتحدث مع القس.

After the liturgy, the priest held a conversation about repentance, observance of Christian commandments and the possibility of spiritual change of a person regardless of life circumstances. He paid special attention to the role of faith in the correction and preparation for the return to society.

According to the regional Federal Penitentiary Service, such events are held as part of spiritual and moral work with people serving sentences.
