From 19 to 22 October, the Belarusian-Chinese tourism forum “Partnership and travel without borders” will be held in Brest for the first time. The event will be attended by about 150 representatives of Belarus and China - government officials, representatives of business associations, tour operators, hoteliers and industry analysts.

The forum is organized by the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Brest Regional Executive Committee with the support of the National Tourism Agency, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the People's Republic of China, the Republican Union of Tourist Organizations and the Republican Union of the Tourism Industry.
Director General of the Brest Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Valery Labun noted:
- Taking into account the solid foundation formed at the level of the leadership of the two countries for the development of comprehensive cooperation between Belarus and China, we believe that special attention should be paid to expanding tourist exchanges and attracting Chinese travelers to Belarus. Thus, the idea of holding the Belarusian-Chinese tourism forum “Partnership and travel without borders” was born. We hope that the participation of tourism industry professionals, representatives of government agencies and practitioners from both countries will allow us to develop new approaches to the development of tourist exchanges, as well as exchange effective practices and specific proposals.
Within four days, participants will have a rich business program, including discussion panels, business meetings and negotiations, as well as the signing of bilateral cooperation documents. Special attention will be paid to the development of joint projects aimed at the development of tourist exchanges between Belarus and China.
The speakers of the forum will be leading Belarusian experts, representatives of the tourism business and companies with successful experience in working with Chinese travelers. Chinese participants will share the practices of state support for inbound and domestic tourism, modern models for the creation and development of tourist zones, tools for their commercialization, as well as proposals for expanding cultural interaction between Belarus and China.
- Having a solid foundation for the development of friendly relations with China, we must form a clear and understandable strategy for joint movement in the field of tourism, said Valery Labun.
The main platform of the business program will be the conference hall of the Brest City Executive Committee. A special hospitality zone will be organized here, which will introduce the participants to the Belarusian culture.
The final days of the forum will be devoted to familiarizing Chinese guests with the tourist potential of the Brest region. Participants will visit Brest Hero Fortress, a symbol of courage of the Belarusian people and an important object of preserving historical memory. The route also includes Belovezhskaya Pushcha, a unique natural complex that offers wide opportunities for ecological, cognitive and recreational tourism. Another item of the program will be the restored Puslovski Palace in Kossovo, which is associated with numerous legends.
- We want to show our Chinese partners the tourism opportunities of Belarus and at the same time better understand their expectations and preferences. We hope that following the results of the forum, new professional contacts, joint projects and agreements will appear, and an exchange of visits and practices will be organized between specialists of the tourism industry. It is equally important that we learn more about each other’s culture and learn to take into account the specifics and needs of our guests. Today, almost every country seeks to develop tourism, considering it as one of the drivers of economic growth. Belarus has no access to the sea, but there are many rivers and lakes, unique national cuisine, unique natural areas and a rich historical and cultural heritage. All this deserves to be seen by travelers from different countries, concluded Valery Labun.
All interested representatives of the tourism industry are invited to join the dialogue and are waiting in Brest on October 20. Details - on a specialized site.
