Career guidance activities are held these days in the educational institutions of Minsk and the regions of the country by students of the faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
About the peculiarities of admission to the Military Academy students of the 10th and 11th grades of Zaslavskaya secondary school No. 2 named after M. K. Puteyko and Samokhvalovichi secondary school told the listener of the General Staff Colonel Ilya Zhitsky.
- Determining your future profession means choosing your path and vocation for many years ahead, the officer addressed the high school students. The profession of a Belarusian officer is not easy and honorable. She embodies the highest moral qualities: loyalty to her people, courage and humanity. It is at the Military Academy that we teach the profession to defend the Motherland.
Cadets of the Military Academy are provided with clothing: winter uniforms, ceremonial (everyday), combat for field studies, as well as sports (summer and winter). They live in comfortable dormitories and barracks. All are guaranteed quality medical care. Monthly prospective officers receive a scholarship from 720 to 1,400 BYN, an allowance for excellent and good studies, as well as material assistance once a year in the amount of 1,300 to 2,100 BYN.
During the training at the Military Academy, cadets are trained free of charge under the program of drivers of category C and with the opportunity to take exams for categories A and B.
After graduating from the Military Academy, graduates will:
- 1.guaranteed employment and assignment of the first officer rank "lieutenant";
- 2.stable and decent monetary allowance, which, when assigned to a primary military post, is up to 3,500 BYN, depending on the characteristics of the service. In addition, annual payments for rehabilitation and material assistance up to 3,000 BYN are guaranteed;
- 3.leave from 30 days depending on the length of service;
- 4.the possibility of purchasing rental housing;
- 5.on a gratuitous basis, preferential lending in the construction of housing;
- 6.and reimbursement of funds for rent and during relocation.
To enter the Military Academy, you must submit an application to the military commissariat of the district (city) at the place of residence before April 1. Until May 30, the preliminary and final professional selections will be held at the Military Commissariat. From May 26 to June 5, pass entrance tests in the form of CE or CT: in the Russian (Belarusian) language and one of the profile tests (mathematics, physics, history of Belarus).
Further, within the established deadlines, submit documents to the admissions committee of the military university.
- After graduating from the Military Academy, young people acquire not only military specialty, but also civilian qualifications, Zhitsky said. In the future, the knowledge gained can be applied in the civil sphere: from resource management to building cloud technologies in communication networks, from radio engineering to public administration.
