In the Kaliningrad region during the autumn campaign to restore forests planted 45 thousand young firs. Work took place on an area of more than 15 hectares, the regional Ministry of Natural Resources reported.
Seedlings in the forest fund of the region are planted by employees of the “Directorate of Forestry and Natural Parks” together with students of the Lake College. Future specialists work under the guidance of experienced foresters and gain practical skills.
Before landing, workers prepare the soil with tractors and special equipment. The technique removes weeds and helps create conditions for young trees to take root.
Autumn reforestation works will last until the end of October. The campaign is carried out within the framework of the national project “Environmental well-being”.
The department noted that the region continues to increase the volume of forest restoration and exceed the established plans.
Earlier we wrote that in Kaliningrad will improve the territory of the Amber Museum for 171 million rubles.
