The National Library hosts the exhibition “The Road to the Stars: From Dreams to Reality”
The thematic book exhibition “The Road to the Stars: From Dream to Reality”, timed to coincide with World Space Week.

The thematic book exhibition “The Road to the Stars: From Dream to Reality”, timed to coincide with the World Space Week, is open at the National Library of Belarus until November 4, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports with reference to the press service of the institution.
World Space Week was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly on 6 December 1999 (resolution 54/68) and is observed annually from 4 to 10 October. The choice of dates is symbolic: on October 4, 1957, the first artificial Earth satellite Sputnik-1 was launched, and on October 10, 1967, the Treaty on the Principles of Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space came into force.
This year’s theme is “Rocket Revolution.” It is designed to draw attention to the technological breakthrough in rocketry: the transition to reusable space systems, super-heavy carriers of the new generation and affordable commercial launches.
In the hall of documents of international organizations (paragraph 207a) there are about 80 documents in Russian, German and English: encyclopedias, monographs, collections of scientific papers, conference materials and textbooks. The exposition introduces the history of cosmonautics, the development of rocket engineering, international legal aspects of space exploration, as well as modern challenges of astrophysics and satellite technologies.
A separate section is devoted to the scientific and technical potential of Belarus in the study of low-Earth orbit.
Entrance is carried out by reading card or pass of the socio-cultural center.
