O Jogo learns about Ronaldo’s decision to retire from Portugal
Before training in Copenhagen, Ronaldo left the team. It came just after head coach Jesos announced at a press conference that the forward would be back in reserve for the upcoming Nations League match

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has made the final decision to end his career in the national team, the newspaper O Jogo reports.
According to the publication, the last match for the 41-year-old forward was a meeting against Wales on September 24. His absence in the starting lineup for the subsequent game with Norway, which he played on the bench, caused discontent of the player.
The Portuguese team will play their next game in Copenhagen against the Danes on 1 October. The head coach of the national team Jorge Jesos previously noted that the player was not included in the plans for the starting lineup for the upcoming meeting.
Immediately after the press conference of Rzesz, at which the coach denied the existence of a conflict between him and the player, Ronaldo left the stadium. The footballer promised to tell later about the reasons for his decision.
The 41-year-old Ronaldo holds the record for the most matches for Portugal (234) and goals (146), which is also a world record.
