According to the press service of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), from 2027 pilots will overcome 290 km instead of 305 km. The length of the track will be reduced by two or three laps.
The FIA also lifted the three-hour limit. Now, if the race is interrupted by red flags, then after a three-hour interval from the start of the race is declared completed.
At the same time, the organization retained the rule that the time of direct arrival from the start should not exceed 2 hours.
