Hockey players of “Youth”, losing to “Metallurg”, fell to last place in the Extraliga table

In the next round of BETERA-Extraliga of Belarus on hockey "Youth" at a party lost to Zhlobin "Metallurg" - 1: 4, the correspondent of the agency "Minsk-Novosti".

In September, the Minskers held eight matches, and only in one of them the wards of Sergey Pushkov were able to win. “Mogilev” was defeated (3:2). The rest of the seven meetings “Youth” lost. And four times with a large score - Orsha "Lokomotiv" (0: 4), Smolensk "Slavutich" (1: 4) and "Aviator" from Baranovichi (0: 5 and 2: 5). At Metallurg things are much more fun. The current champion of the eight previous matches in only two failed. The team is in second place.

Nevertheless, during the match in Zhlobin, the Minsks began better. In the fifth minute, Dmitry Hobyan laid the hook outside the opponent’s goal and managed to throw (1: 0). The owners were not left in debt. Before the end of the period, they managed to respond with two goals. This Yegor Kuzmenko first dropped when his team played in the majority (1: 1), and after a minute and a half led his team forward (2: 1). In the second twenty minutes, Metallurg increased the advantage (3: 1). Further, the club from Zhlobin had an order of magnitude more opportunities to develop success (once they did it – 4: 1), than “Youth” to recoup. Chances were available, but, as in previous meetings with the participation of Minsk, they did not end with the capture of the gate. The result is the sixth consecutive defeat of the guys Pushkov.

- The start of the match was not bad: they entered the game well and scored a good puck. However, then the guests took the initiative and had the advantage throughout the meeting due to faster and more powerful hockey. Unfortunately, we do not yet manage to take care of our chances - we create moments, but implementation is limping. In addition, it is necessary to act much more strictly in defense: the slightest mistake in defense instantly turns a goal into our goal. So far, not everything turns out as we would like, but this is the reality, said the head coach of Youth S. Pushkov.
