Viktor Gancharenko – about the upcoming match in the League of Nations: the team wants to play at the maximum
The head coach of the Belarusian national football team Viktor Gancharenko shared his expectations from the upcoming match of the Nations League.

The head coach of the Belarusian national football team Viktor Gancharenko shared his expectations from the upcoming match of the League of Nations against the team of San Marino, which will be held on October 3, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
V. Gancharenko said that the team after the match against the Finnish team (September 29) moved to Hungary, where on a neutral field will hold two meetings in a row. The conditions for training and the hotel are good, the weather is comfortable.
- We have 23 field players and we have to understand that someone needs to take a break from the previous two matches. There's a background of fatigue. The rotation should be done in order to approach the fight as fresh as possible, the mentor noted.
According to him, an important task of the wards is to move the ball very quickly, to be actively involved in all episodes both in attack and in defense. Despite the difficult schedule, the team must be active for 90 minutes. For the victory over Finland and San Marino give three points. The team must proceed from that.

“The national team of Belarus needs to demonstrate good long stretches of the game,” the expert continued. All teams at this level know how to act against a strong opponent, including small details and tricks. Both the Belarusians and the Sanmarins understand how to play against a strong opponent and how to confront a lesser-status team. If the opponent is strong, we secretly hope that something will happen and we will hook him. And if the opponent, in our understanding, is not rated, we must beat him.
V. Gancharenko stressed that his wards want to play at the maximum and take three points. Any result is a consequence of what was shown on the field.
San Marino head coach Roberto Cevoli also shared his opinion about the upcoming meeting:
- Despite the result, our performance against Albania was not bad. Therefore, I do not want to change the composition much. We took a look at the game of the national team of Belarus, watched a few matches. Even by cutting, the strong physical qualities of all football players are immediately striking. If you look at the squad, all the players who are on the pitch are physically strong and that will certainly have to be taken into account when forming our game plan. As for the weaknesses, these are more tactical points that we will try to exploit. I don't want to go into details.
The meeting will take place at Rudolf Illowski Stadium in Budapest. Start at 19:00 Belarusian time. The live broadcast is organized by the TV channel Sport TV.
