Experts assess growth prospects of BRICS economies
The BRICS countries (the association includes 10 countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, UAE, Ethiopia, Indonesia) provide about 49% of global GDP growth. This was stated by Vladimir Putin at the BRICS+ summit in New Delhi. Over the past five years, the countries of this association have produced more than 40% of world GDP, while the contribution of the G7 states was 29%. The President also noted that the members of the association account for almost a quarter of world exports, and the total volume of domestic trade in them reached $ 1.2 trillion. Experts interviewed by Vedomosti explained how such indicators were achieved and what will happen to BRICS next.
