Ammonia limit
Industrial production of ammonia in Russia relies on units designed and built mainly in the 1970s and 1980s. More than 80% of the country’s production capacity is made up of plants, the average age of which today is 46 years. New capacities account for just over 15% of total output, or about 2.8 million tons of total output (18.6 million tons in 2025, according to Rosstat).
