In the subway, buses and electric buses of Moscow began to show a thematic video from the Ministry of Energy of Russia about the history of Russian energy. Until October 18, it will be broadcast on more than 34 thousand media screens in various modes of transport, said Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.
The video tells about engineers and energy engineers who participated in the development of the industry. Passengers will be able to find out who developed the country’s first electrification program and who created a unified power supply system that unites all regions of Russia. The video will also tell about the contribution of the creator of the arched structures of the Kiev station in the development of domestic energy and show what the country's first nuclear power plant looked like.
Liksutov linked the work of the energy industry with the daily movement of urban electric transport. According to him, thanks to the work of power engineers, 447 metro stations, MCC and IDC operate, more than 3.1 thousand electric buses run around the city, and four regular river routes of electric vessels run along the Moscow River.
“With the support of power engineers, we will continue to develop electric transport of the capital, which corresponds to the order of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin,” Liksutov added.
In turn, Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev stressed the importance of engineering education for the development of technologies: “Technological leadership is impossible without strong engineering training.” According to him, the task of the Russian engineering school is to train specialists who are able to invent, find and make decisions, set great goals and achieve them, even if they seem impossible to others.
