The Bank of Russia plans to increase the maximum amount of one payment through the Quick Payments System (SBP) for business to 30 million rubles, the regulator reports. The project was published for public discussion.
The innovation will affect settlements between legal entities and transfers of individuals and legal entities to the budget system of Russia.
The regulator believes that the proposed measure will allow businesses to more effectively build operational activities and accelerate the turnover of funds. Payments to the budget will become more convenient and faster for citizens and companies, as well as for the Federal Treasury.
Now the limit of transfers between legal entities through the SBP is 1 million rubles. The Central Bank announced plans to increase it in the draft main directions for the development of the financial market for 2027-2029: the regulator also plans to promote B2B SBP services and launch the b2G scenario for payments of legal entities and IP to the budget. The Ministry of Finance in March considered the introduction of VAT for operations through the SBP, and Rosfinmonitoring from September 1 began to receive data on payments through the system.
