The plant “Moskvich” has launched mass production of electric vehicles “Atom”. The company plans to produce up to 10 thousand cars in 2026-2027 at a rate of 20 cars per day. This was reported by the general director of the company-developer "Atom" - JSC "Kama" - Igor Povarazdnyuk, reports "Interfax".
Mr. Povarazdniuk noted that the localization level of the Atom is up to 70%, which makes it “the most highly localized electric car” in Russia. The electric car has already begun to transfer to the first customers on pre-orders.
Open pre-sales of Atom began in April 2026. The electric car costs 3.98 million rubles, but taking into account the program of preferential lending - 3,055 million rubles. Atom is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 150 kW (equivalent to 204 hp). The battery capacity is 77 kWh – this provides a power reserve of about 500 km. In “Kama” reported that by the end of the year they plan to transfer to customers at least 3 thousand electric vehicles.
