The Supervisory Board of the Moscow Exchange pointed to the risks for the CFA and bonds due to the default of “Eurotrans” // Shvetsov: the default of “Eurotrans” may be the end for the CFA market and bonds
The large-scale default of Eurotrans (the owner of the Trassa gas station) threatens the entire market of digital financial assets (CFA) and bonds if the Russian parliament does not investigate this case. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Supervisory Board of the Moscow stock exchange Sergey Shvetsov at the forum “Digital Finance — the new economic reality”.
The large-scale default of Eurotrans (the owner of the Trassa gas station) threatens the entire market of digital financial assets (CFA) and bonds if the Russian parliament does not investigate this case. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Supervisory Board of the Moscow Exchange Sergey Shvetsov at the forum “Digital Finance – the New Economic Reality”.
“Why isn't it just a case? Take and borrow tens of billions of rubles from citizens, and then go into the shadows, stop paying, do not give any information – if we miss it, a queue of those who want to do the same will line up, Shvetsov said.
According to Sergey Shvetsov, Senator Nikolai Zhuravlev and Deputy Anatoly Aksakov are responsible for the financial market in the parliament. “I don’t know if there is political will, but I do know that if Parliament doesn’t investigate this case, it’s not going to happen.” Then with a high probability we will not grow in the CFA market, the head of the Supervisory Board of Mosbirzhi suggested.
Difficulties with the payment of coupons on bonds began at Eurotrans in March. By early September, the company had actually defaulted on all debt issues. The ratings of Eurotrans were withdrawn by all four Russian rating agencies. “Sber” and Bank “Russia” announced the filing of claims for bankruptcy of the company. In addition, in the wake of the fuel crisis, the FAS accused Eurotrans of inflating prices at gas stations. Last week, on suspicion of theft of fuel from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the general director of Eurotrans Oleg Alekseenkova and several other top managers of the company were arrested.
