The U.S. Department of Commerce for a year extended the validity of licenses that deprive Russian airlines Aeroflot, Utair and Azur Air of export privileges. Resolutions are published in the database of the Federal Register.
The request for the extension of restrictions was submitted by the Bureau of Industry and Security subordinate to the Ministry of Trade. The restrictions were introduced on April 7, 2022 and have been repeatedly extended since then.
The regulation prohibits airlines from engaging in any transactions, as well as exports from the United States and re-exports from abroad of goods that are subject to export control rules. Since March 2022, the United States has imposed sanctions against dozens of Russian aircraft-related enterprises.
