The US Federal Reserve raised the interest rate by 25 basis points, to 3.75-4% per annum. This was reported by the press service of the Fed. The regulator last raised the rate in July 2023.
“Despite high uncertainty, partly due to geopolitical changes, domestic spending remains robust,” the report said. The Fed raised its inflation forecast for the year from 3.6% to 3.7%. In 2027, the figure will fall to 2.3%, the regulator expects.
The Fed kept the rate at 3.5-3.75% from December 2025. Previously, the regulator reduced it three times in a row.
