In the first seven months of 2026, the total passenger traffic of three airports of the Moscow air hub - Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo - decreased to 40.4 million people. This is 3.5% less than in the same period of the previous year. About it reports “Interfax” with reference to data of Rosaviation.

The most noticeable decrease was recorded in Domodedovo, where traffic fell by 13.2% to 6.9 million passengers. The share of this airport in the structure of UIA decreased from 18.9% to 17%. The main reasons were technical problems with the maintenance of Airbus A320neo aircraft from the base carriers - S7 and Ural Airlines.

In Vnukovo, passenger traffic decreased by 1.4% to 9 million people, while the share in the total volume of UIA transportation increased by 0.5 percentage points, to 22.5%.

Sheremetyevo lost 1% of passenger traffic, 24.5 million people were transported. The share in UIA increased to 60.5% against 59% a year earlier. The main volume of traffic is provided by the Aeroflot group, whose traffic for seven months increased by 0.1% to 31.7 million people. In July, the figure decreased by 0.6% due to flight restrictions and changes in the structure of the route network.
