The Swiss government expressed concern about the decision of the Russian authorities to transfer the Russian assets of Nestlé under temporary management. Reuters reports.

The subsidiaries of Nestle, Nestlé Kuban and Nestlé Russia, as well as the Russian subsidiary Auchan (Auchan) came under the temporary management of L.E.V. Management by the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin of September 17.

The Swiss Economic Affairs Secretariat and the Foreign Ministry have been working with Nestlé on this issue for several weeks. Support is also provided through diplomatic channels. The Swiss side intends to achieve an opportunity for Nestle to state its position to the Russian authorities and cancel the decision to introduce external management of the company’s Russian business.
