Restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft were lifted at Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Zhukovsky airports. This is reported by the Telegram channel of Rosaviatsia.

Restrictions were introduced at night and in the morning on August 20. Because of them, airlines delayed and canceled dozens of flights. Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo redirected some flights to spare airfields.

The measures were taken simultaneously with the drone attack on Moscow and the region, which Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called “the most massive”. In the capital, a facility on the territory of the Ministry of Refinery, as well as a residential building in the south, was damaged. 17 districts were attacked in the area. There are dead and injured. Total air defense forces yesterday shot down more than 1,600 UAVs flying towards Moscow.
