Bitcoin (BTC) has surpassed $85,000 for the first time since January 28. The cryptocurrency reached this mark at 12:38 GMT.

Bitcoin (BTC) has surpassed $85,000 for the first time since January 28. The cryptocurrency reached this mark at 12:38 GMT. A sharp increase (by 4.7%) occurred after 10:45 GMT.

Ether (ETH) gained just over 3 percent over the same period and reached $2,747 for the first time since January 30.
