The Russian government has zeroed duties on grain exports until the end of 2026. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of agriculture, reports “RIA Novosti”.
The measures are aimed at supporting Russian producers and exporters of grain and oilseeds in restructuring export logistics. In addition, the Ministry of agriculture has limited the amount of duty on the export of sunflower oil and meal. It will not exceed the level of August 2026: 7748 rubles per ton of sunflower oil and 312 rubles per ton of sunflower meal.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the measure will reduce the costs of market participants and support exports in the industry. Now the base price for wheat is 18 thousand rubles per ton, for barley and corn - 17 875 rubles per ton. Under the grain damper mechanism, duties on exports of wheat, corn and barley are calculated weekly.
In August, the Ministry of Agriculture created an operational headquarters for the reorientation of agricultural exports. Attacks by Ukrainian drones on grain terminals in Novorossiysk and ships in the Sea of Azov have effectively stopped Russian grain exports from ports in the south.
