Changes were made to the rules of cancellation of licenses by the decision of the supervisory authority. These rules will be extended to the retail and distribution trade of tobacco and nicotine-containing products. Currently, only manufacturers and importers of such products are regulated.
Among the grounds for deprivation of a license:
The decision on withdrawal shall be sent to the licensing authority no later than three working days. Part of the provisions, including the sending of decisions through the monitoring system, will be applied from September 1, 2027.
Since September 1, cigarettes, vapes and other nicotine-containing products have been banned from selling at public transport stops. An exception was made for only retail outlets in small settlements. The sale of tobacco products is also prohibited at railway stations, bus stations, airports, sea and river ports, in the metro.
