As of 05:35 GMT, the price decreased by 0.76%, to $4,130.7 per troy ounce. By 05:44 GMT, the cost of futures slightly slowed down the fall, amounting to $4,148.6 per troy ounce (-0.33%).
Last week, the value of December gold futures fell below $4,250 per troy ounce, the first such decline since August 5.
Pressure on the precious metal is exerted by the tightening of the position of the US Federal Reserve and signals from the regulator about further raising interest rates. From its January peak of $5,318 an ounce, gold has lost more than 20%.
