Agrarians of Belarus have dug up more than 500 thousand tons of potatoes – yield higher than last year

According to operational data on the morning of October 7, 503 thousand tons of potatoes were dug up in agricultural organizations and peasant farms. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry of agriculture.

It is noted that the average yield of potatoes is 328 centners per hectare, which is 9 centners higher than last year. Minsk region dug up 129 thousand tons of potatoes, Mogilev — 128 thousand tons, Brest — 101 thousand tons, Gomel — 55 thousand tons, Grodno — 54 thousand tons, Vitebsk — 36 thousand tons.

Sugar beets were removed from the area of 52 thousand hectares - 48 percent of the plan of 109 thousand hectares. 2 million 432 thousand tons of root crops were dug up with an average yield of 466 centners per hectare. In terms of regions, the situation is as follows: Minsk – 927 thousand tons, Grodno – 849 thousand tons, Brest – 403 thousand tons, Mogilev – 224 thousand tons, Vitebsk – 20 thousand tons, Gomel – 9 thousand tons.

- In total, 86 thousand tons of vegetables grown in open ground were harvested in the country with a yield of 322 centners per hectare, which is 23 centners higher than last year, the Ministry of Agriculture commented.

Welded 9 million 615 thousand tons of grain, including rapeseed and corn. In terms of regions, the leadership is maintained by the Minsk region with an indicator of 2 million 545 thousand tons. Grodno region threshed 1 million 892 thousand tons, Brest - 1 million 781 thousand tons. In the Mogilev region, this figure reached 1 million 244 thousand tons, in Gomel - 1 million 158 thousand tons, in Vitebsk - 995 thousand tons.

Smell under the sowing of winter grain 1 million 517 thousand hectares, which is 101 percent of the plan of 1 million 500 thousand hectares. Winter grain for grain sowed 1 million 391 thousand hectares — 93 percent of the plan.

Hay harvested 619,000 tons (86 percent of the plan), hay — 12 million 843 thousand tons (90 percent of the plan), silage — 13 million 153 thousand tons (64 percent of the plan). The total volume of harvested herbal feed in terms of feed units reached 7 million 506 thousand tons - 74 percent of the annual plan of 10 million 131 thousand tons. Corn on the silo removed from 66 percent of the area is 628,000 hectares. 161 thousand tons of flax trusts with a yield of 39 centners per hectare were prepared.
