Agrarians of the Minsk region were the first in the country to dig up a million tons of sugar beet harvest in 2026

According to operational data on the morning of October 10, agrarians of the Minsk region were the first in the country to overcome the landmark milestone in the harvesting of sugar beets - dug up more than a million tons of root crop. This was reported by sb.by in the press service of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

It is specified that the rate of harvesting exceeds last year: almost 60% of fields have been removed, sugar content is approaching the level of 17%.

- 82% of the dug up was taken to beet receiving points, which is more than 820 thousand tons, the press service added.

At the same time, more than 630 thousand tons of sweet root crop were delivered to the state order.
