Belarus and Nizhny Novgorod region have agreed on new projects in the industry. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry of Industry following a working meeting of the Minister of Industry of Belarus Andrei Kuznetsov with the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin.

One of the key topics is the production of passenger electric transport. In Nizhny Novgorod, 170 new trams and 62 electric buses were delivered, which were produced at the joint venture Nizhekotrans. In 2026-2027, it is planned to purchase another 60 trolleybuses with increased autonomous operation.
The joint work will also focus on restoring Belarus’ competences in shipping and shipbuilding. The project envisages several stages: track work and river clearing to maintain navigable depths with the help of ships of the technical fleet, the development of cruise shipping and logistics transport.
Cooperation in agriculture, the automotive industry and increasing the supply of automotive components were also discussed. Special attention is paid to the work of joint ventures "Red wrestler - RUS" and "Nizhny Novgorod LiftMash".
“Supplies of machine tools and elevator equipment are noted as one of the priority areas of cooperation between Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod region,” the press service of the department informed. Nizhny Novgorod region plans to develop mutual tourist flows with Belarus
