Today, on October 26, within the framework of the work of the Belarusian-Mongolian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Yuri Gorlov held talks with the delegation of Mongolia headed by the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, a member of the Great State Hural Tsagaanghuu Iderbat. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry of agriculture.

The results of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries show that exports of food products and agricultural raw materials have increased. The dairy segment demonstrates the greatest dynamics: the total volume of deliveries increased by almost 167%, including whole milk powder by more than 192%, and skim dry milk by 2.3 times. Growth was also recorded in other categories: exports of flour confectionery products increased by 63%, malt extract - by more than 66%, chocolate - by almost 13%.
Emphasizing the importance of joint work, Yuri Gorlov noted:
The trade turnover between our countries is low, but I would like to note on the positive side that for 8 months of this year, the export of food products and agricultural raw materials to Mongolia from the Republic of Belarus increased and amounted to 117 percent compared to the same period last year. We need to support and build it, it all depends on us.

At the meeting, the parties signed an agreement to provide design and estimate documentation for the construction of a dairy complex for 1024 heads of dairy herd with a full technological cycle. The project has received a positive conclusion of the state construction expertise in Belarus and will now be adapted to local conditions and climatic norms of Mongolia.
The expansion of agro-industrial cooperation between Belarus and Mongolia goes beyond the classical trade, transforming into a deep technological exchange.
