The business format “Hour with Tradepred” was held in Tula, aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties with Mongolia. The event was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and became part of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”.
About two dozen enterprises of the Tula region representing different industrial segments took part in the meeting. The key speaker was the trade representative of the Russian Federation in Mongolia Maxim Vasiliev. He highlighted in detail the specifics of work in the Mongolian market, outlined the current state of partnership and highlighted the most promising areas for increasing cooperation.
According to Maxim Vasiliev, Mongolia is a reliable and long-standing strategic ally of Russia, and its market demonstrates a high interest in products from Russia. During the meeting, the trade representative not only outlined promising niches for Tula exporters, but also explained the nuances of foreign trade contracts, and also shared the peculiarities of Mongolia’s business culture. The session ended with a block of questions and answers - the participants were able to clarify individual working points.
The importance of the Mongolian direction for the region was emphasized by Deputy Minister of Industry of the Tula region Dmitry Pronin. He noted that Mongolia is one of the key partners of the region on the Asian track: the countries are bound not only by economic, but also by humanitarian ties rooted in a long history of cooperation.
Dmitry Pronin gave specific figures: by the end of 2025, the trade turnover between the Tula region and Mongolia increased three times. The basis of supplies are goods of the chemical industry (primarily mineral fertilizers), food, engineering products and metals. The official expressed confidence that in 2026 the dynamics of cooperation will continue to strengthen, opening up new opportunities for Tula producers.
Taking into account the active interest of small and medium-sized businesses in the Mongolian market, the Regional Export Support Center is preparing a business mission to Mongolia – it is planned to be held in the first quarter of 2027. All details of the upcoming event will be published on the website www.export71.ru.
